Climate

Temperate continental with clearly marked four seasons.

A Mediterranean influence is felt in the country's southern regions.

The average annual temperature is 10.5°C.

The average January temperature is around O°C.

Average summer temperatures rarely exceed 30°C.


Climbing

The Bulgarian relief is extremely varied: large plains and lowlands, low and high mountains, valleys and lovely gorges.

The Bulgarian mountains give possibility of practice to various sports, including climbing and alpinisume.

You can climb in all Bulgarian mountains: Pirin, Rila, Stara planina, Vitosha and Central Balkan.

Pirin, Rila and Central Balkan are among the largest and most valuable protected areas in Europe. They contain some of Europe’s remaining, extant, wild regions. Identified as Category II protected areas by the World Conservation Union, the Parks are managed in accordance with the latest conservation principles and approaches.

There are different sorts of rocks: limestone, granite and sandstone, who give possibility of alpine, traditional, sport, DWS, boulder and ice climbing.
